As many of you are aware Château Lafite Rothschild is one of the greatest wines ever produced worldwide. Its price is at a premium because of the rarity of supply and the rarity of the grapes that are used to produce this all-time classic.
The Rothschild family has been involved in the Bordeaux region of vineyards since 1868 and currently own Châteaux Lafite Rothschild, Duhart Milon, L’Evangile and Rieussec.
Over the years The Barons de Rothschild have created at the request of family and friends, a limited range of wines that are more casual and easy going for everyday french lifestyle living. In French wines country everything goes well with wine and it is the equiverlant of Tea for The English.
These lighter relaxed blends were known as the “Réserves des Barons”. Which they have in recent years created a complementary supplement to Château Lafite which they have called Barons de Rothschild (Lafite).
